Games canceled for January 27th

The UHC Hurricanes have canceled the girls and boys basketball games originally scheduled for January 27th. We will try to reschedule the boys game for a later time.

Result of JV Boys Basketball Game on 1/26/09

The JV Boys traveled to Spartanburg to play Westgate Christian school on Monday January 26th. The final score was GCA 15 - Westgate 29.

Ryan was high scorer with 8 points. Ivan got 5 points and Chad got 2 points.

Team travels over 2 hours to play GCA

The Victory Christian Cardinals traveled over two hours coming from Sylva, NC to play the JV Boys Basketball team on Thursday, January 22nd. The final score was Lions 26 - Cardinals 44. Ivan was high scorer with 15 points, followed by Ryan with 8 points and Chad with 3 points.

Lady Lions vs. Easley Home Educators

The Lady Lions traveled to Easley to play the Easley Home Educators Tuesday, January 20. They lost 7-40. Jessica D. was high scorer with 4 points. Kilion added a three-pointer.

Lions Win by Two

The JV Boys won by a narrow margin over St. Mary's Catholic School on Friday, January 16th. The final score was 34 - 32.

JV Boys vs. Simpsonville Genesis

In a home game on Monday, January 12th, the JV Boys lost to Simpsonville Genesis 40 - 65. Ivan was high scorer with 20 points, followed by Bill with 8, and Erik with 6. Austin, Ryan and Chad each got 2.

Lady Lions vs. Simpsonville Genesis

On Monday, January 12, the Lady Lions lost to Simpsonville Genesis 8-18. Randi was the leading scorer with 6 points. Amanda rounded out the scoring with 2 points.

Two more games added for the JV Boys

Two more games have been added to the schedule for the JV Boys Basketball Team.

• Thursday, January 22nd @ 5:15pm vs. Victory Christian
• Thursday, February 5th @ 5:15pm vs. St. Matthias Lutheran

Both of these games will be played at home.

2nd Game this Season against the Eagles

In the 2nd game this season against the Upstate Eagles, this time on the Eagles' home court in Inman, the GCA JV Boys lost 31 - 48. High scorer was Ivan with 13 points, followed by Ryan with 8 points, Bill with 6 points and Austin with 4 points.

Lady Lions vs. Upstate Eagles

The Lady Lions traveled to Inman, S.C. to play the Upstate Eagles and lost 2-31. Jessica D. scored the lone basket.

Lions Battle the Hurricanes

The JV Boys played a good game but lost to the UHC Hurricanes with a score of 26 - 31 on December 8th. Ivan was high scorer with 12. Bill and Tate scored 4 points each and Austin, Ryan and Chad scored 2 points each.
